A beta-adrenoceptor-blocking drug which is of value in the treatment of ANGINA PECTORIS, myocardial infarction (see HEART, DISEASES OF) and HYPERTENSION. It is also used in the treatment of GLAUCOMA. (See also ADRENERGIC RECEPTORS.)

Timolol

A beta-blocker drug used to treat hypertension and angina pectoris.

Timolol may also be given after a myocardial infarction.

It is used as eye-drops to treat glaucoma.

Possible side effects, such as cold hands and feet, are typical of other beta-blockers.
